Since the pandemic began, what buyers are looking for in homes has changed. Here are the three things they want most right now:
 
1. Work-from-home space. This is the main thing buyers are currently looking for; it’s no surprise that people want a dedicated area where they can work from home. Good lighting and an aesthetically pleasing background help with all those video calls. Try to make this area as appealing as possible.

2. Outdoor space. This is always crucial in Toronto because of our long winters, but it’s become even more so as people are staying home more. People like to spend time outside, so you need to have an attractive outdoor space. Even if it’s just a small balcony, you can spruce it up with some greenery and furniture. If you simply don’t have any outdoor space, bring the outdoors inside with some plants.
 
3. Storage space. Again, this is always popular, but the health crisis has made storage space a necessity for most. Custom built-ins are a great thing to consider, especially in front hall closets and master bedrooms. In the current environment, people want to keep everything neat and tidy as best they can.
